Northeast Region CAER is a mutual aid emergency response association in Alberta that was formed in 1991. Our members include emergency management professionals, pipeline companies, chemical transporters, and area municipal emergency response departments.

Call the UPDATEline for information on industrial site activities in the region that you may be curious about such as:

  • Unusual noise or alarms

  • Prolonged flares, smoke or fire

  • Odours

  • Traffic levels

Stay Informed With Alerts! 

Staying informed about what matters to you is easier than ever before. A number of municipalities in our region have implemented alert systems where their residents can choose what to be notified about, and how. To stay in the know, click on your municipality’s logo below to register for your community’s alerts. 

The 'Alberta Emergency Alert' public warning program sends alerts to registered users via text message to smart phone (android app; ios currently in development); internet and RSS feed and social media (FacebookTwitter). Alberta Emergency Alerts are also delivered through local radio, tv and road signage.
